As I stated previously a good long walk can work wonders. I have mood swings which can affect the whole family, however today I took the dog for a walk, and although there was a cold win, the sun was shining and it was one of those good to be alive days. We have all experianced them. And you know with a dog, who gives unconditional love, and can make you laugh and feel wanted, all the niggles in my thought patterns just fade away. We do not have to be marathon runners to get the buzz and the benefits of exercise.

I am taking anti depressants at the moment. When I was prescribed them I did not take them for 2 months. The doc could not understand why there was no improvement. I did not want to take them as I thought I was strong enough to cope with what the world was throwing at me. Eventually I did take them, and nothing happened!! About 2 weeks in I suddenly realised that I was coping better and have not missed a dose since. I know that the doc will want to wean me off them soon, and some days I really want to "stand on my own" again, and other days I cannot imagine not having them. This is the next battle I face, and I am anxious, but I am still here and the world is a better place. I guess that I will have some counselling to help me, so looking forward to that. If anyone has similar thoughts please let me know.
