Yes some of the new quit smoking drugs are proving quite effective. I found when I stopped that the chewing gum nicotine replacement helped me the most. I think it was because I had something to actually put in my mouth when that craving for a cigarette hit. That helped me a lot and I decreased the nicotine content of the gum as I went along.

I have been smoke free for 7 years now and luckily have no desire to have another cigarette. The smell of the smoke is horrible to me now and I am so pleased that they have banned smoking in pubs in the UK and quite a lot of Europe now.

Quit smoking is good.this habbit is not stop urgent. Get rid slowly. Some of the medication can help it which are acailable in the market. Champix (Varenicline) is a smoking cessation drug, which is prescribed to help smokers stop smoking. It reduces smoking urge and it may make a difference.

I do agree with you. I used to smoke and I tried all sorts of ways to stop it. I tried cutting down and using all sorts of things but in the end it was wanting to stop that. I gave up and went over to chewing nicotine gum. That way I had something to put in my mouth as I had been used to doing with my ciggies. I gradually reduced the strength of the chewing gum as instructed and finally gave up. I can honestly say that now I never think about having one!
