Default eyes

I have a brain tumor removed when I get under vision, without the quadrants. Today I see very well. What else will be affected, in my view? I see the colors and everything focused? What difficulty I have in my day to day after the surgery? I wonder more about the vision and the brain.

I have 41 years

Hi Beta

You poor thing, but glad to know that the tumour has now been removed. It is difficult to say how much your vision will or will not be affected as we do not know exactly what the surgeon did. I think that if you have any worries on this score you should ask him to tell you or to refer you to an ophthalmologist for his expert opinion.

I really hope you are fighting fit and over it all really soon!

My tumor has not been removed, perhaps in September. The doctors where I have been little talk about it.

The hearing will be affected?

thanks

Hi Beta, I am sorry, I thought the scans that you posted were preoperative . I really hope that following the operation you are going to recover 100% but you must talk to your doctor about this, he or she is the only one who knows what the risks are for you and how your sight or hearing might be affected. The risks of any surgery should be explained fully, and make sure that you do get everything explained to you, take an interpreter if you need to or get it written down so that you can read it later at home, but please make sure you understand all the risks and the benefits from the planned surgery. Thinking of you xx
