Default About Neurology!

Neurology (from Greek νεῦρον, neuron, "nerve"; and -λογία, '-logia', '"study of") is a medical specialty dealing with disorders of the nervous system. Specifically, it deals with the diagnosis and treatment of all categories of disease involving the central, peripheral, and autonomic nervous systems, including their coverings, blood vessels, and all effector tissue, such as muscle.[1] The corresponding surgical specialty is neurosurgery. A neurologist is a physician who specializes in neurology, and is trained to investigate, or diagnose and treat neurological disorders. Pediatric neurologists treat neurological disease in children. Neurologists may also be involved in clinical research, clinical trials, as well as basic research and translational research.

Wow Stelly You are well informed on the topic, we need people like you here to give us your knowledge. Neurology is clearly what you say although I think people often get it confused with neurosurgery which is the surgical arm of brain studies. Neurologists do not operate and neurosurgeons do is the bottom line. You description of the discipline was spot on! Thanks for that! Obviously no-one wants to be in need of the services of either of these specialists but we should be glad that there are so many dedicated inspired and excellent doctors in these two disciplines to help us.

Hi,
Neurology Jobs deals mainly with brain functions and on everything that goes along with it. Most Neurologists desire to work on this field of career in order to provide service to those individuals that are in dire need of their medical service.
