Post Health and Fitness

There are few things more important to leading a full and enjoyable life then being healthy and fit. A person who is healthy and fit will be able to enjoy life without worrying about restrictions due to health problems, or frequent fatigue.

Health and fitness are in many ways two sides of the same coin. The healthier a person is, the easier it is to stay fit. The more fit a person stays, the healthier they will be

Here here John! I agree with you and I think that there is a real danger that people get fixated with health and fitness and in the man time forget to live their lives! It is essential to get some exercise but a nice walk or a swim is fine, it really is not necessary to go torturing yourself in the gym! If you like that then fine if not then keep to the normal type of exercise that we can all do like a pleasurable stroll in the countryside or even an energetic hill climb with your dog!

I think it is true that we can get carried away with what we need to be doing exercise wise and get ourselves caught up with all sorts of complicated, time and money consuming activities where all we really need to do is use the exercise equipment we already have - our legs! I used to do a lot of running, I don't do that any more but now I do try to walk a lot although I still need to work on the amount of food I eat!

That is very true. We can sometimes think that it is only for our physical fitness that we need to exercise but one of the big benefits of exercise is in helping depression. It has been proven that even just going for a brisk walk can relieve the feeling os depression that someone has. It makes you feel good about yourself and lifts the moods. It also help conditions like arthritis where it is a big mistake to stay still all the time.
