Default Green tea for weight loss

Benefits of green tea have long known can to prevent heart disease and various cancers. Another study, published in July 2005 by the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition revealed that green tea can also be used to reduce body fat. Those who consumed a bottle of green tea every day for three months will reduce body fat resulting in weight reduction, compared with those who consumed a bottle of oolong tea.

Other types of tea, like black tea and oolong tea, also has a large amount of polyphenol content, which is useful as an antioxidant, anti-cancer and anti-virus. But the difference with the other tea, green tea is rich in polyphenols called catechins. Catechin is in addition useful as anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer, in a recent study mentioned may also affect the pile of body fat and cholesterol levels. Catechin will trigger weight loss by burning calories and reducing body fat.

Research conducted in Japan, with the aim to see the effect of catechin in reducing body fat and weight loss of 35 men. These men have weight and waist circumference more or less the same.

Some men during three months of consuming a bottle of oolong tea, which was given an additional green tea extract containing 690 mg of catechins. Who's the other group was given a bottle of oolong tea with 22 mg of catechins. For three months, both groups were given the same food with the amount of calories and fat the same, so the overall total received the same diet.

After three months showed men who consumed green tea extract weight decreased more (2.4 kg compared to 1.3 kg) and a decrease in body mass index (BMI) significantly, waist circumference and total body fat. LDL, bad cholesterol, also declined.

Now this is what I have been looking for! I have heard a lot written about Green tea but never as well put as your post, thanks for that. I think that something simple like Green tea might have the answer as it is something that you can easily fit into your diet and daily routine. I did once try a tea from China but it was not green tea and it was revolting! Thanks for the post!

By incorporating at least 3 cups of green tea in yourmeal daily, you are enhancing a more balanced diet. Together with exercise, green tea has turned out to be more effective than ever. There is no such thing as how many servings every meal can green tea be incorporated. No exact doses. Just one cup every breakfast, lunch, dinner and even during midnight snacks is sufficient enough to be part of your daily diet.

Great advice Sohel. I have never really liked green tea but I am going to give it another go because I read everywhere, including in your post, about how good it is for all sorts of things. Do you know specifically what it is good for? I have an idea it is good for digestion but are there other benefits that you can get from it?

Let us know please. I reckon it is a really good habit to get into, thought I don;t really know what is in the tea itself, do you?
