Default Some concerns

Hi my name is Ryan I am a 26 male and I am new here! My story is long so here is the short version. Back on 5/28 of this year I went to an Emergent-care for intermittent pain on my right side(lower abdomen) not very bad pain(still worked all day) and they performed a CT scan, they found a 7mm cyst on my right kidney. Went to the doc he did an ultrasound...confirmed kidney cyst and that's it. Still had pains all through out june and then it morphed into crazy changes in my BM's like from going once a day in the morning to about 2-4 in the morning and 1-2 at night. So, I had a colonoscopy done 2 weeks ago, they found nothing wrong except my colon was kind of red, which they said is sometimes from the solution prep. Now, in the last week I'd say I've had frontal tummy pains all over ESPECIALLY under my belly button(feels like someone is putting a finger into that area). They feel like small pains(as in really central locations when they occur) still not really throw me on the floor pain just discomfort that I haven't felt before really(could be gas related). Also in all of this I've noticed narrow stools, and a lot of BLOATING even after a BM. After all this my GI told me she doesn't think anything is wrong and if the pain reoccurs on my right side to call her and get a Barium test done, otherwise I don't need to see her until I'm 50. Well considering my symptoms have morphed into something else. I also started a lot more fiber in and had an immense amount of gas bloating(ever since I slowed the fiber the pains aren't as intense). I think I should maybe get that barium test to ensure that my small intestine doesn't have any obstruction. If anyone knows anyone that has had a small bowel obstruction that might help me out with symptoms. I have had some nausea...nothing that makes me vomit though. So just looking for some insight if anyone has went through this or anything. Thank you for your time! Great board!

You poor thing! I am sure that your medical team have covered all the bases, it is true that nothing very awful would be expected in your age group but I still think that given your symptoms if they had any suspicion that there was something seriously wrong with you they would have gone on to other investigations. Now that you have been so rattled and frightened, you will probably be magnifying everything that you feel.

It you had an intestinal blockage you would know about it! It is agonising. Try to relax a little and not to worry and see if the symptoms ease, if not then go back and bang some desks!

I had an issue a few years back with diverticulitis. This is where the diverticuli in the gut wall get inflamed due to food not passing through the gut and getting stuck in the little crevices. I have never experienced such pain and the barium tests were painful to say the least. After a short stay in hospital on a antibiotic drip the pain went away. I had to increase the fibre in my diet and have not had an episode since. Has anyone else experienced this?
