Yes this is a horrid topic but we need to know these things! Some people refer to human parasites as “belly worms” and ringworms as “circle worms.” Some people even believe that “belly worms” actually live in the belly button and they also believe that “circle worms” are actually “worms.” Neither is true. The truth is, belly worms are called “parasites” and they do not live in the belly button (as some people may believe), but rather deep inside of the stomach and the intestines of humans and animals.
There are several types of worms that can be found in rice such as whipworms and of course, rice worms. Whipworms can be found in beans and other grains as well. There are other creatures that also grow in rice. These include: rice water weevils, rice stalk borers, rice stem maggots, and the rice leafmine. The horsehair worm is a parasite that not only lives in crickets, but they also live inside of cockroaches, grasshoppers, and beetles.

Morgellons, or “fibre disease” caused by parasites, is an affliction rarely acknowledged by the medical community, but with a host of symptoms. The appearance of fibres in skin lesions is a predominant affliction of Morgellons.
Thread worms are very common human parasites. Also known as pinworms or seatworms, thread worms are easily transmitted among children and adults.
Screw worms are voracious feeders on animal and human flesh and tissue. The screw worm fly can find a host wound as small as a tick bite for laying eggs, thus endangering the life any warm-blooded being.

Horrible!!

A few more worm related facts if you can stand it! Killing hookworms in the soil is an elusive process but at present no commercial applications exist to do the job. However, a few simple preventative measures will aid in inhibiting or killing existing hookworm infestations.
Morgellons disease is indeed a misunderstood disease that, while very real to the Morgellons sufferer, is rarely recognised as a parasitic affliction by members of the medical community. Then there are Filarial Worms in humans. Filarial worms are parasitic worms in humans that require a human host to survive and complete the life cycle.
Loa Loa worms (also known as the “eye worm”) are classified as filarial worms, meaning they thrive in human tissue. Loiasis, often misspelled as “loaisis”, is the infestation of loa loa worms in humans. All very nasty!

The Guinea worm is often referred to as the “fiery serpent”, due to the painful symptoms of Guinea worm disease. The life and survival of the Guinea worm is unique in many ways, often requiring a year for full development of the parasite, during which entire time the Guinea worm is painfully impacting a human host with that Guinea worm disease.

Roundworm, commonly called “round worms” or “round worm” is one of the most common worms to infect pets. But round worms can infect humans, too. If you think you might have picked up worms, see your doctor or ask your pharmacist for an over the counter preparation.
