Hi there, I am not sure what the procedure is for referral in Canada but here in the UK you can be referred to anyone you like form you family doctor. If you can do this I would recommend that you go on the Internet and do a bit of research into doctors who have done papers around the kind the problems that you are having and then try to get to see them, as they will have a greater interest in what you are suffering from.
