Default Survey about Diabetes

Hi!
We are a group of researchers from University of Quebec in Outaouais, Quebec, Canada. We are running an online survey about diabetes.

This project was approved by the research ethics committee at Université du Québec en Outaouais (UQO), and obtained a grant from Ministère de développement économique, innovation et exportation Québec.

If you have either type 1 diabetes or either type 2 diabetes, you are eligible to participate in this research. It only takes 35 minutes to complete the questionnaires.

Your participation is entirely voluntary. The data collected in this study are entirely confidential, and the website used for data collection is secure in order to ensure confidentiality. The results will allow us to contribute to the advancement of knowledge.

That is a great project! My husband is diabetic and I will get him to go to the site. Can you tell us what sort of extrapolation you are hoping make from the data you gather? This disease is on the rise and is almost at endemic proportions in the UK. Lifestyle is undoubtedly to blame and from what I know it is inevitable that once person reaches a considerably obese weight diabetes will set in. Is that right?
