saffy - i don't think the frozen or juice form would be as good as the fresh ones - we will just have to invite you to beautiful british columbia. however, having said that, eating frozen or drinking juice form is better than none at all!!

I go for the fruits after dinner rather than sweets. My wife started buying more fruits a few months back and we've avoided the pies to our benefit.

I don't think that it is an issue, and I am surprised it has gone on so long on this board, although the fact that it has must mean that a lot of people are unsure about it.

Fruit is always a better alternative to a sticky or very sweet rich pudding for sure and for that reason if anything is going to be eater, I can see no reason why it would not be fruit, if the alternative is say a sticky toffee pudding! I would love to hear from anyone who can offer scientific proof that it is actually bad to eat fruit after a meal!

Not at all! It's always a good time to have fruits since they are a source of fiber.

Yes fruit is always good. It is something natural that nature provided us to eat and therefore as far as I am concerned, it can do no wrong. Although I do not have apiece of fruit for sweet after dinner I do always try to have some in the evening.
