Yes that is a very important point to make. Without food we can last for months, but without water we will not last more than a few days. Water is vital for our body's to work properly and for many of its different elements to operate. Unlike excess food that is stored as fat excess water is not stored so we need always to drink enough of it - we have no reserves!

The human body, which is made up of between 55 and 75 percent water.Water is crucial to your health. It makes up, on average, 60 percent of your body weight. Every system in your body depends on water. Lack of water can lead to dehydration, a condition that occurs when you don't have enough water in your body to carry on normal functions.

That is quite right Matthew and thanks for getting down to the bottom line on this for us. Water is definitely the one thing that we cannot do without for any length of time at all. Dehydration can have pretty dramatic and disastrous affects very soon if we allow ourselves to get into that condition. Food we can do without for many weeks, but not water, or liquid of some type!

A person should drink 5 litres of water daily to maintain good healthy, if you want you can drink more but not less than 5 litres as it may cause dehydration and makes you tried.

Five litres?!! That is a huge amount and I don't think I could ever drink that much! As other people have said I cannot l believe that we need something that our bodies do not naturally prompt us to have. What happened to listening to your body? Whose body tells them to drink 5 litres of anything?!
