Acne can be a sign that something is wrong on the inside. Your skin depends on nutrition. It is a vital organ that is usually neglected. If your body is not receiving the right nutrition, it will fight back.

This is ture to some extent although acne is more commonly associated with the surgin hormone levels of puberty. But what Athea says is quite right, to treat anything just topically is missing a trick. The approach to everything should be holistic and of course nutrition is a very important part of our wellbeing. Teenagers, the group who most commonly suffer from acne are also not well known for their helthy eating habits so much, so making sure that, along with other treatments, the diet is right is a very improtant consideration.
