Default I'm going to undergo bypass surgery next week.

Hi there, I am going under bypass surgery next week, and obviously I'm pretty damn scared. I have been researching over the internet recently. Can anyone tell/help/guide me are these complications really so severe, if yes I wanna be the last person to have that

Looking for an early answer

Hello there and thanks for sharing your problems with us. I know that you must be very frightened but you must understand that this kind of procedure is very straightforward for the doctors doing it who have been operating successfully for years and extended countless numbers of people's lives. My father and father inlaw have both had bypass surgery and were out of hospital very soon afterwards. Both have made full recoveries. The only think that I remember my father complaining about was the itching on his left leg from where the new vein for his heart had been harvested!

Please come back and tell us how much better you feel, after the op! We will be thinking of you! God bless.
